First Visit |
| PRE-OP INSTRUCTIONS: |
| • Do not eat or drink anything after midnight before your
surgery • You may shower and brush your teeth the day of surgery • You will be instructed whether or not to take any medications the day of surgery • Wear loose comfortable clothing on the day of surgery • Bring the following items to the Surgery Center |
| 1. Contact/Glass Case 2. Drivers License 3. Health Insurance Card 4. List of current medications 5. Recent lab results (if ordered) (Your physician may bring on the day of surgery) 6. EKG (Your physician may bring on the day of surgery) 7. X-rays or MRI films (Your physician may bring on the day of surgery) |
| DO NOT WEAR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: |
| • Make-up/Lotion/Cologne • Hair Clips • Body Piercings |
| DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: |
| • Purse • Wallet • Valuables |
| One of the nurses from the Surgery Center will call the afternoon prior to your scheduled procedure to go over any other instructions and to answer any questions you may have. |
